Hello!
I hope that this finds you well. As the summer heats up I find myself searching for more work just to pay for gas. With the world as uncertain as it is, I have questioned my motivations time and time again as a musician. I have found however, that in my search, the world is beautiful and this art - unquestionably - has to be shared.
So, my next step on the quest is to finish mixing the Album. Artistically, I came to a stand still on what to mix, what to release. It is so hard sometimes to be subjective and patient with my own progress. Thank you to all of you that have been a guide and a source of wisdom through this time in my life and my career.
In my search for my own voice, I found that there is a need for organizations to help musicians in town in various roles. I am proud to introduce: The San Diego Jazz Musicians Guild; An organization dedicated to preserving Jazz History in San Diego & providing support for local musicians. Through our endeavors of love, we can make a difference in our community! For more information, please contact me directy @ karincarsonjazz@yahoo.com.
Thank you again for your time and your interest. I look forward to seeing you out there!
